With four native QSFP to SFP+ connectors available on each

A common installation method is to plug the single 40G QSFP channel of the splitter cable into the Top-of-Rack (ToR) switch’s available 40-Gbps QSFP uplink port. The splitter cable’s four individual QSFP to SFP+ channels can then be routed to a wide range of compatible gear; including 10GbE-SFP+ rack-mount servers, blade servers, blade switches, NIC’s, and Direct Attach storage arrays.Amphenol's high-speed interconnect manufacturing expertise shines through on the QSFP to SFP+ Splitter Cable Series, as evidenced by its superb build quality and component selection according to Nick Blas, Product Marketing Manager for Amphenol Cables on Demand. "Hybrid cables (a.k.a. splitter cables or breakout cables) operating at such extreme data-rates must accommodate design tolerances far in excess of what typical straight-thru cables require. Amphenol’s most experienced Signal Integrity Engineers approached the design challenges systemically with an added emphasis on signal skew control and crosstalk reduction. Several patented technologies, such as Amphenol’s exclusive Spectra-Strip SKEWCLEAR bandwidth-optimized wire, ensured that all of the rigorous design expectations were met.”
